Prominent Auxiliary Worker Succumbs to Heart Attack

Mrs. Ida Belle Bennett, aged 54 years, wife of William Bennett, 1217 west Main street, passed away at her home following a heart attack. She had been in failing health for over a year.

Mrs. Bennett was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boyd, born in West Virginia, but came to this city in her childhood. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary, No. 46, of the Gilford Garber post of Spanish-American war veterans and a member of the Presbyterian church. She was a willing worker and a kind and loving mother and wife.

Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Mrs. C. M. Miller, city; two step-daughters, Mrs. Oliver Wilson and Mrs. Mitchell Taylor, of this city; two sisters, Mrs. William Walter, city; Mrs. Emma Wendall, of Miami, Fla.; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and three great step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Jesse M. Tidball. Interment will be at Springdale. House services will be conducted this evening by members of the auxiliary and by the Spanish war veterans.
