Visitation will be held 9:00am-11:00am Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with interment in Lakewood South Cemetery.
Mr. Boyd served 4 years in the Navy after he graduated high school. After serving his country he worked for Rossin and Richards Pipeline for 14 years and then worked for Klean Steel until he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Boyd; sons, Jimmy E. and Gregg Boyd; step-sons, Chris and David Sumrall; daughters, Debra Boyd-Hayes, Annette Branch, and Sheila Headrick; step-daughters, Linda Gifford and Tammie Hatch; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
