Helen Lily Boyd Monahan, 66, died at 2:25 PM Wednesday [Jan. 29, 1975] in Lafayette Home Hospital, where she had been a patient since Oct. 11. A native of Colfax, she was reared there and had lived most of her lifetime in Lafayette. Her marriage in 1938 at Sioux City, IA, was to Peter W. Monahan, who died in 1963. He was employed at Alcoa and was a semi-professional baseball player.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Berry Freyman of West Lafayette, Mrs. Loretta Izor of Indianapolis, and Frances (Mrs. Paul) Hunter of Beech Grove; three brothers, George Boyd of Indianapolis, Vance Boys of Phoenix, AZ, and Robert Boyd of Burbank, CA; and a half-brother, Paul Cave of Bradenton, FL.
