Barbara Sue Croft Boyd, 78, of Moultrie, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at Agape Health Care and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 15, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Woods and the Rev. Jimmy Albritton officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Julian Griner and the Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating.

Born Sept. 22, 1933, in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late James "Jim" Austin Croft and Louannie Sorrell Croft. She retired from Moultrie Manufacturing Company, and was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as preschool division director for many years.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jerome Boyd; one daughter, Karen Boyd; and a brother-in-law, Hoyt Lacey.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John Irvin Boyd of Moultrie; one daughter, Cassandra Boyd Bullington and husband Donald of Cordele, Ga.; two grandchildren, Mary Ellyn Williams and husband Scott of Cochran, Ga., and James Howard Bullington of Cordele, Ga.; one great-granddaughter, Emmie Elizabeth Williams of Cochran, Ga.; one great-granddaughter on the way, Katelyn "Kate" Grace Williams; one sister, Grace Lacey of Moultrie; one brother, Myron Croft and wife Janie of Moultrie. Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
