Charlene Watford Boyd, 47, of Valdosta, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on December 24, 1961, beloved daughter of James F. and Lois Powell Watford. Charlene and her husband, Marvin Y. Boyd, have lived in Valdosta since 1987. She was a Home Interiors and Gifts representative and most recently a Travel Consultant and Office Manager for South Georgia Travel of Moultrie. Charlene was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, the Daylily Club and Delta Epsilon Ki at Valdosta Technical College where she majored in Marketing and Accounting. She was a devoted wife, daughter and sister. Charlene was a people person, she loved gardening, being outdoors, travelling and loved animals. She lived life to the fullest. In addition to her husband, Marvin, she is survived by her mother, Lois Watford of Grand Bay, AL; two brothers, Billy McClain and wife Vickie of Wilmer, AL, and John McClain and wife Wanetta of Theodore, AL; two sisters, Angie Wells and husband Bill of Bradenton, FL, and Debbie Wooldridge of Theodore, AL; four nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; her mother-in-law, Carmella Boyd of Bay St. Louis, MS; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; many cousins; and one aunt. She was predeceased by her father, James F. Watford. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Monday March 16, 2009 at 3PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 until 3PM. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery

Mrs. Charlene Boyd funeral services were held from the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Monday March 16, 2009 at 3PM with Dr. Charles Brown officiating. Pallbearers were Bill Wells, Joe Tucker, Danny Rhodes, Wayne Ward, Elijah Ward and Jeffrey Hubbard. Interment was in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements by Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway.
