Mrs. Martha Marie Boyd, 709 Washington Street, died in St. Francis hospital at 10:50 p.m. Aug. 26, (1956). She was 59 years old.
Mrs. Boyd was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Strueben, and was born in Walcott, Ia., on Jan. 29, 1897. She was married to the late Harry Wolbert at Marion on Feb. 26, 1914. After his death she was married to John Boyd of Biggsville. The wedding took place at Oquawka on March 31, 1933. Boyd died Feb. 7, 1951. A year ago Mrs. Boyd and daughter, Joyce moved to Burlington from Biggsville.
By her first marriage, Mrs. Boyd had two sons and a daughter: Kenneth Wolbert, Huntington Beach, Calif., Eugene Wolbert, Burlington, and Mrs. Dalores Bauer of New London.
Children to the second marriage are a son, Levon Boyd, Sunnyville, Calif., and Joyce Boyd.
Nine grandchildren also survive, as do the following step-children; Roy Boyd, Biggsville; Charles Boyd, Cameron, Ill.; and Raymond Wolbert and Mrs. Ethel Koenig, Davenport, Ia.
A brother, Ben Strueben lives at Walcott.
Services will be held at the United Presbyterian church of Biggsville at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. R.P. Liston will officiate and burial will be in the Biggsville cemetery.
The family will meet friends at the Sederwall funeral home, in Biggsville, Wednesday evening.
