Clyde Earl Boyd, 96, of Knobel, died at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. Born in Piggott, he was a farmer and a substitute rural mail carrier from 1928 to 1955. A lifetime resident of Knobel, he was a member of Union Assembly Church of Knobel.

Survivors include six sons, Norris Boyd and Conrad Boyd, both of Knobel, James B. Boyd of Unadilla, Ga., Neil Boyd of Perry, Ga., Cleitus Boyd of Corning and Travis Boyd of Piggott; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Alice Smith Boyd, one brother, two half-sisters, three half-brothers and two grandchildren.
