BOYD, Luana Elizabeth BolingerAge 68 of Nashville, TN, on October 29, 2011. Luana ran into the arms of her Saviour after an extended illness. Born July 15, 1943 in Akron, OH to Joseph Bolinger and Ola Carden. After attending elementary and secondary schools in Springfield Township, Luana graduated from Kent State University with a BS in Elementary Education, and taught in public and Christian schools in OH, NY, AZ, OR and TN. Called into ministry to children at an early age, she taught Sunday Schools and other Christian Education programs such as Awanas, Mission Friends, and Pioneer Girls throughout her life. In recent years, she was co-owner of Son Systems and Services, located in Nashville. She will be greatly missed by her devoted and beloved husband of 46 years, (Bob) of Nashville; daughter, of Newton, KS; sons, (Katharina) of Mannheim, Germany and of Santa Fe, NM; and granddaughters, of Newton, KS. Preceded in death by father, Joseph, she is survived by mother, Ola; and sisters, Pat and Karen of Lyndhurst, OH; and brother, Joe of Akron, OH. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, where the family will gather at 12 p.m., and receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m., with Pastor Dan Scott of Christ Church officiating. Interment will be at Christ Church Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her brother, Joseph; nephews, Matthew Boyd (Nashville), Perry Kline (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) and Peter Scorzino (Cleveland OH), Eric Prayner, (Akron, OH); and son-in-law, Kent Harder.
