Mrs Betty Ormsby Boyce, 35, Lebo, died Wednesday at a Lawrence hospital following surgery Friday.
She was born Nov 4, 1947, at Emporia, the daughter of Alvin and Leota Gavin Ormsby. She spent her early life in Osage City, attended Osage City High School and lived in the Lebo community the past ten years.
Mrs Boyce was owner and operator of The Pour Shop, a ceramics bobby shop, at Osage City.
She married Marvin R Boyce May 22, 1964, at Osage City. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs Robin Wood, Gove; two sons, Lowell Boyce and Kevin Boyce, both of the home; her parents, Mr and Mrs Alvin Ormsby, Osage City; four sisters, Mrs Donna Parker, Osage City, Mrs Joan Stauf, Lawrence, Mrs Lois Bartley, Dumas, Texas, and Mrs Nancy Peters, Lebo; four brothers, Billie Ormsby, Olivet, Jimmie Ormsby, Reading and Danny Ormsby and Jerry Ormsby, both of Osage City; and her grandfather and stepgrandmother, Mr and Mrs Arthur Gavin, Emporia.
Services will be at 2pm Monday, February 7, 1983, at Crable Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Burial will be in Arvonia Cemetery.
