Violet G. Boyce, 89, of Sandy, Utah, passed away peacefully March 12, 2000 at the Sandy Regional Care Facility.

She was born March 21, 1910 in Redding, California to John W. and Laura Nevada Gray. She married Asa W. Boyce on February 4, 1929. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Violet was an active member of the L.D.S. church. She was an accomplished author and journalist. P.T.A., cooking, playing the violin and various church callings rounded out her full life.She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa; son, David; and one grandchild. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Weber; seven grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Jane W. (Missy) Boyce; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family would like to thank all of those at the Sandy Regional Care Facility who showed such loving care for our mother in her last years of life.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at 11 a.m., in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State St., where friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
