Adam S. Bowser of Kittanning RD 7 died at 8:10 pm Tuesday August 11, 1964 in Armstrong Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for one day. He was aged 85 years having been born August 23 1878 in North Buffalo Township a son of Francis R. and Sarah (Shearer) Bowser. Mr. Bowser was a member of the Kittianning Knights of Pythias and Center Hill Church of the Brethren Now retired he was self-employed as a feed store operator on Queen St. Kittanning for 30 years. Suriving are his wife Eliza (Chappell) Bowser; two sons George F. Bowser of Bethel Park and Ralph F. Bowser of Kittanning RD 4; two daughters Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Cowan and Mrs. Howard (Gertrude) Younkins, both of Kittanning RD 4 one sister Mrs. Blair (Ella) Summerville of Butler ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
BOWSER-Friends of Adam S. Bowser of Kittanning RD 7 who died at 8:10 pm August 11, 1964 in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital will be received at Bauer Funeral Kittanning from 7 pm Wednesday until 12 noon Friday. The body will be removed to Center Hill Church of the Brethren for viewing one hour prior to the service which will be held at 2 pm Friday Rev. William Gauntz church pastor, will officiate at the service. Internment will be in Center Hill Cemetery Arrangements by Bauer.
