Kasein Kenyon Bowman was born March 25, 1973, in Albany, New York to Charles and Gail Bowman. His father, Charles and maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angelia; their daughter, Ashleigh Rose; his mother, Gail Roper; his sister, Azure, husband, Leo Guidry, Jr. and their two daughters; sister, Bianca Roper; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kasein departed this life on June 27, 2008, at 8:15 a.m. at North Austin Medical Center. In 1987 the family relocated to Round Rock, Texas where Kasein attended Chisholm Trail Middle School and Round Rock High School. He enjoyed his classes and anxiously looked forward to playing football under the stadium lights for the Dragons. After high school he moved to Boston, Massachusetts and enrolled in Northeastern University. Shortly, after college Kasein moved back to Round Rock, Texas where he met Angelia Boyd and they married in 2001. Not only did they share an endearing love, they both shared a passion for caring for mentally challenged patients at Austin State Hospital, where he worked until his untimely death. In 2003 Kasein and Angelia were blessed with their only child, Ashleigh Rose. He adored his daughter, Ashleigh and professed his love for God in his treatment and caring of his family.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden, burial to follow at Austin Memorial Park. Please visit www.MeM.com for a memorial tribute of Kasein.
