Mary Belle Bowman was 1st married to Virgil St. John.
She evidently remarried is listed on cemetery list as Mary B Berry but the stone shows St. John and the dates correspond. She is also listed on her Missouri Death Certificate as Mary Belle Berry.
She was the daughter of Henry Bowman and Adelia Canfield, and was noted as being a widow and died of liver and stomach cancer and was buried in the St. John family lot in Park Cemetery under the direction of Knell Undertaking Company.

DEATH OF MRS. MARY BERRY
Passed Away This Morning at 1:30 O'clock
of Cancer of the Liver
Mrs. Mary Belle Berry of 812 Clinton Street, passed away at 1:30 o'clock this morning after an illness of six months with cancer of the liver. Since January 2nd she had been confined to her bed.
The deceased was born in Des Moines, Iowa and was 45 years of age. She had resided in Carthage since she was two years old.
She leaves three children;
Henry and Loraine St. John of this city and Ernest St. John of Mena, Arkansas
She is also survived by a father and mother;
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowman; a sister, Mrs. R. A. Cowan, and a brother; C. W. Bowman all residing in this city.
Ernest St. John was called here by his mother's illness a couple of weeks ago but was not present at his mother's deathbed. He will arrive here tomorrow.
The funeral was held at the First Church of Christ, Scientist
