Lloyd L. Bowman, 70, of Valparaiso, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011.
He was born December 6, 1940 in Chicago to Frank & Luecindia (Osborn) Bowman, and graduated from Fenger High School.
Lloyd was a career Electrician with I.B.E.W. Local #134 in Chicago for over 30 years retiring in 1998. He attended Heartland Christian Center in Valparaiso and had a talent and passion for music including having played accordion and singing for special events.
On December 16, 1961 he married Gloria Erdelyi who survives along with his sister, Reba (Richard) Giberson, sisters-in-law, Carol Anderson & Carolyn Bowman, all of Valparaiso, and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Max Bowman, an infant twin brother, Floyd Bowman and half brother, Paul Bowman.
A funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00 am at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 3 – 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
