Bowman, Abraham, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bowman, born in Franklin County, VA, died at Jacksonville, IL, Oct 22, 1919, aged 76 years, 10 months and 23 days. He united with the Church of the Brethren early in life. After two years of service in the Civil War he came to Illinois. In 1873 he married Lavina Filburn [sic], who survives with four daughters, three brothers and three sisters. Services by Brethren D.W. Shock and I.J. Harshbarger at Girard. Interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery. - Ethel Harshbarger, Girard, Ill.
