Bowman, Dunklin Caffey, Jr., DDS. Age 94. Died March 27, 2015. Preceded in death by parents Dunklin C., Sr. and Nelle Murray Bowman; wife Virginia Love Graves Bowman. Survived by son Lin (Dunklin C., III) Bowman and daughter Jennie Graves Bowman. A native of Williamson County, Dunk graduated from Franklin High School and Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He then enlisted as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving aboard U.S.S. LST 376 in the Mediterranean and D-Day. After military duty, he received father-in-law, Dr. Hershel A. Graves, Sr., before setting up his own private practice. He retired in 1994, especially enjoying travel and bridge. Dunk was a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder, Sunday School teacher, and Stephens minister.
