Tina Bowman, 82, passed away on December 4, 2010 at home in Nampa.

Tina was born to James and Roma Brannam on February 21, 1928 in Caldwell, Idaho, the third of seven children. Tina graduated from Caldwell High School on May 17, 1946 and married Lloyd Yowell that same day. Together, they made their home and started their family in Nampa.

Following the death of her son Allen in 1963 and her husband Lloyd in 1967, Tina continued living in Nampa with her two young daughters Robin and Amy.

Tina then married Ercil Bowman in 1975 and they moved to Pt. Townsend Washington where they resided for many years. In 2003 they began to share their time between their Pt. Townsend and Nampa homes. Ercil passed away in 2009.

In addition to being a homemaker, Tina worked at Bill Glaiser Finance Co., Nampa Floral, the Sugar Factory and House of Fabrics. She was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church. Tina was an avid gardener, loved to cook, sew, ski, bowl, golf and learned to be a pilot in her fifties.

She loved animals and had many pets. She volunteered many hours to the Mercy Hospital "Pink Ladies". Tina was the happiest when surrounded by her family and a backyard filled with flowers and grandchildren. She was quick witted, funny, optimistic and generous to a fault. The presence of her absence will be everywhere.

Tina is survived by her daughters, Robin Thompson (Jack) and Amy Holley. Her grandsons Sam, Tyler (Sunny), Pete (Annie), Joe (Tammy), Gus (fiancée Katie) and Rory Thompson, and Max Holley. Great grandchildren, Sage, Olivia, Sophia, Hannah, Brooklynn, Ella, Molly, Wyat, Kasey, and Morgan. Her sisters Verla Larsen (Jack), Hilda Stiner and brothers, Paul (Joan) and Robert (Ann) Brannam and many nieces and nephews. Her loving caretakers and loyal friends, Betty Ann Rees, Julia Tomayo and St. Lukes Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, son, her dear friend and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Dille and husbands Lloyd and Ercil.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel in Nampa.

A graveside service will follow at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Northwest Animal Companions, 4983 N Glenwood, Garden City, Idaho 83714. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.alsipfuneralchapel.com.
