Don G. Bowman, age 89, went home to be with the Lord April 3, 2013. Mr. Bowman served 26 years in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of WWII and Korea. His last duty station was aboard the USS Shenandoah (AD-26). He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and handyman.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Ruby Lee Bowman, and his granddaughter Donna Rochelle Genestra.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Avila; grandchildren, Jeremy Qualls and Rocco Genestra; brother, Noel Bowman; sisters, Anna Claire, Linda, and Roberta; special companion, Hazel Guimond.
