Melvin G. Bowman, 76 of Mulberry, Arkansas died Friday, February 13, 2009 in a local hospital. He was a retired farmer, a lifelong resident of Crawford County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lotty Taylor Bowman; a daughter, Rose; both parents, J.R. & Nancy Hollinger Bowman, one brother & one sister.
He is survived by one daughter, Maudie Bowman of Fort Smith; four sons, Melvin B. Bowman of Chester, Jerry Don Bowman of Van Buren, Roy Bowman of Fort Smith, Tommy Dale Bowman of Tennessee; two sisters, Hazel Mason of Ozark, Gracie May of Altus; nine grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
