Clarence Bowling, 80, Crocker, died Oct. 30, 2001, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born May 21, 1921, in Hazelgreen, a son of Claude and Mary Knapp Bowling. His mother survives in Newburg. He was married Jan. 12, 1942, in Richland, to Dorothy Marie Walter, who died March 19, 1993.
A Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he was a heavy equipment operator for 20 years. He was the water system superintendent for St. Robert for 20 years. He was a member of Crocker American Legion and the National Riffle Association.
Other survivors include: six sons...; two sisters...; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Assembly of God Church, Crocker. James Routh will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Long Funeral Home, Crocker, and from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Assembly of God Church in Crocker.
