Kathy Bowling, 54, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 5:37 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Anthony Barta officiating. Private burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY she was born March 19, 1957 the daughter of Martha Brame Bowling of Hopkinsville, KY and the late Art Bowling. She was an assistant county supervisor for the United States Department of Agriculture for 26 years. She was a member and former deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Hopkinsville.
Survivors in addition to her mother include: two sisters: Jeane Bowling Smith of Alvaton, KY and Sue Ann Bowling Lainhart of Hopkinsville, KY; two nephews: Cameron Lainhart and John Roark III; and a niece: Catherine Lainhart.
