Alfonzo Bowers, 59, died Saturday at 1 a.m. at his home of a heart ailment.
He was born Sept. 16, 1902 in Woodland, to Charles Freemon and Ellen Gines Bowers. He was married to Mary Fredonne Williams, Dec. 30, 1922 in Heber.
He was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors are his widow of Kamas; four sons and two daughters, Waldon Bowers, Mrs. Carl (Orpha) Smith, Donald A. Bowers, George Lynn Bowers, Coey Bill Bowers, all of Kamas; Mrs. Walter (Marlene) Mortensen, Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Reno Bowers of Salt Lake; sisters, Mrs. Ada Olsen Denver, Colo.; Mrs Ira (Thelma) Page, Kamas.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Kamas Ward LDS Chapel. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
