Keith, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966, was survived by his wife of 56 years, Marlys Bowers of Albuquerque; sons: Richard K. Bowers (wife Gerri) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Donald A. Bowers (wife Nancy) of Dataw, South Carolina, John C. Bowers (wife Marcia) of Neshanic Station, New Jersey, and David H. Bowers (wife Carole) of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Steven, Brian, Keith, Amanda, Katherine and Elizabeth Bowers; great-granddaughter Ashley Bowers; sisters Esther Crider of Tyler, Texas and Donna Smart of Portland, Oregon; and brother Gerald Bowers of East Tawakoni, Texas.

Keith proudly served in the US Navy during World War II on the Battleship Maryland. He was an avid trombone player and enjoyed playing with the Shriners and American Legion Bands, as well as with various other groups. He was an original member of the Albuquerque City Band. Before retiring in 1985, Keith was a sales representative for McClintock-Doane Paper Company.
