Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. CST Friday in Texico Cemetery at Texico, N.M. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
Mr. Bowers was born in Tolar and had lived in Amarillo the past 22 years. He was a sergeant in the Army during World War II. He retired as an operator in maintenance of heavy equipment.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1475 of Amarillo.
Survivors include two brothers, Gene Bowers of Amarillo and W.L. Bowers of Los Lunas, N.M.
