ALICE KERNEY BOWERS, 83, of Brandon Drive, Winchester, Va., died Tuesday August 15, 2000 at her residence. She was born April 21, 1917 in Scranton, Pa., the daughter of Elden Lockwood Kerney and Louise May Shifler Kerney.
She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church since 1948
She married George Richard Bowers on February 12, 1943 in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, David Andrew Bowers, Forest Hill, NY; and John Richard Bowers, Phoenix, AZ; sister, Martha Kemp, Hagerstown; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.
Services were held at Jones Funeral Home Chapel; burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
