Funeral services for Andy Bowen, southeast of Ninnekah, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Brown Funeral Home chapel. Bowen died Saturday morning of a gunshot wound inflicted Friday night at his home. He was born July 10, 1894 in Tahlequah and moved to Grady county in 1907, settling in the Cofelt community where he was engaged in farming. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Survivors are his wife of the home; two sons, Floyd of Chickasha and Elmer of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Miss Mamie Bowen of the home and Mrs. LaVern Wallin of Duncan; six grandchildren; three brothers, John of Chickasha, Rt. 1, Dick of Chickasha and Albert of Alex; two half-brothers, Jim Berry of Comanche and Tom Berry of California; and one half-sister, Mrs. Mary Noble of Duncan. Interment was in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
