In Memoriam
On January 2nd, 1923, the gentle spirit of our beloved member and co-worker, Mrs. H.H. Brandenburg, passed form its earthly home into the infinite freedom of heaven to the home where no pain or sorrow enters. She was a faithful club member, always ready to do her part, and we will feel her loss keenly. She possessed a happy disposition, a quiet and unassuming nature, and her life was a daily lesson of love, patience and purity. She was a noble woman, a true gentle woman, a devoted wife and mother. Her loving words and happy smile have been an inspiration to every member of our club. Therefore be it resolved:
First - that the club and community have lost one of its noblest and most beloved members,
Second - That we cherish her memory, emulate her virtues, and strive to profit by her Christian influence,
Third - That we extend to the bereaved husband and children heartfelt sympathy from each member of the club and commend them to Him who doeth all things well,
Fourth - That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family. The Pike County Journal and recorded in our minutes.
