MARGARET BOWEN
Margaret Bowen, 81, of Chariton, died Saturday, May 30, 1992, at the Lucas County Health Center where she had been a patient for the past 10 days.
She was a longtime Chariton resident and had been an employee of the local telephone company for 45 years, retiring in 1975. For many years she was organist and choir director for the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two cousins, Elwyn Thomas of Aberdare, South Wales and Myrtle Dessery of Costa Mesa, Calif.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Chariton, with Rev. John Bissett conducting. Burial will be in the Fry Hill Cemetery.
