Samuel Harrison Bowen Sr married Sarah Elizabeth Lee Gibbs in 1777. They had 10 children from this marriage:

4. Male Bowen 1784-1790
5. Dickson/Dixon Bowen 1792-1879
6. Seth Bowen 1796-1882

10.Lindsey D Bowen 1834-1862

We believe that Sarah died in York District, South Carolina. Samuel's statement states he lived their until 1811, then moved to Wilkes County, Georgia.

We are not sure if her maiden name was Gibbs or Lee.
