Myrtle Bowen, former restaurant owner
REGISTER: Myrtle Bradley Bowen, 56, died Sunday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital. The native of Evans County had lived all of her life in Evans and Bulloch Counties. She was a member of the Claxton Church of God and was church clerk for a number of years. She was former owner and operator of HallService Station in Bulloch County for a number of years.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred J. Bowen, Jr.; two daughters, Annie Marie Ennis and Marilyn Brinson, both of Register; one son, Alfred Bowen IV, Refisgter; two sisters, Melrose Roberts, Winter Haven, Fla. and Wealthy Beasley, Swainsboro; two brothers, Bennie Bradley, Register and Charles Bradley, Claxton and four grandchildren.
THe funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at NeSmith Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mike Sanes officiating. Burial will be in Ephesus Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Anderson, Gene Anderson, Ray Andersom, Bennie S. Bradley Tim Bradley and Daniel Roberts.
