There appears to be no tombstone left standing for Richard in the Newman Cemetery, however, his wife Patience's tombstone inscription states "Widow & Relict of Mr. Richard Bowen".
It is highly likely Richard is buried alongside his wife as David Jillson recorded in his Transcriptions of Cemetery Stones, 1850, which stated "Richard Bowen Aug 31, 1739 in 77 yr.". In 1930, Marion Pearce Carter's Cemetery Inscriptions found the tombstone missing.
