Angelina "Angie" Bourgeois, 68, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Donner, died at 1:13 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2011.

Visitation be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time on today at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church. Graveside services will take place at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Bourgeois Sr.; one daughter, Donna Bourgeois Redmond and husband, Timmy; one son, Jerry Bourgeois Jr.; two grandsons, Christopher Bourgeois and Jasper Redmond; her mother, Josephine "Josie" Battaglia; one sister, Catherine Rodrigue; and two brothers, J.C. and Peter Battaglia.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Battaglia Jr.; and her grandparents, Mr and Mrs. John Battaglia Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Maggio.

She was a longtime Avon representative for 30 years, a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the choir.

In lieu of flowers, friends and relatives may make a donation to the family in order to defer funeral expenses.
