Mrs. Blakeley was born in Newberry County on December 8, 1914, a daughter of the late James Russell Boulware and Madeline Davenport Boulware.
She was a member of Suttons United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Blakeley was the widow of Rhodus Emanuel Blakeley.
Surviving include: a son, James Robert "Bob" Blakeley, Sr. of Shelby, N.C.; a daughter, Carolyn B. Cantley of Andrews; a sister-in-law, Mary M. Boulware of Charleston; a cousin, Richard Elliott of Charleston; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon, January 9, 2003, at two o clock at Suttons United Methodist Church. Officiating will be The Rev. J. Robert Huggins, The Rev. Earl Bittle, and The Rev. Wade H. Everett. Burial will follow in the Churchyard under the direction of the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
