Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Kathleen L. Botz, 84, of St. Cloud who died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Sterling House in Sauk Rapids. Rev. Anthony Oelrich will officiate and burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Kathy L. Botz was born on March 31, 1927 in Richmond to Alexander and Barbara (Engelhard) Pallansch. She married Paul Botz on October 4, 1950 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. The couple lived in San Diego during Paul's time in the service and moved to St. Cloud after the Korean Conflict. Kathy was an RN at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church; she was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary 428 and American Legion Auxiliary. Kathy found great joy spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved the casino and playing cards.
Kathy is survived by her children; Mike (Linda) Botz of Sauk Rapids, David (Karen) Botz of Sartell, Nancy (Ken) Karnik of Sauk Rapids, Patrick Botz of St. Cloud, Paul Jr. (Diana) Botz of Colorado Springs, CO; siblings, Clare Ann Krueger of Richmond, Ann Kaufman of St. Paul, Mary Weber of White Bear Lake, John Pallansch of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Kenneth Rothanburg, Heather Botz, Tiffany and Heidi Karnik; great-grandchildren, Paul Rothanburg, Deja, and Nyasiah Dabner.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul, in 2009; daughter, Karen Rothanburg; brother, Alex Pallansch, Jr., sisters, Irene Miller, and Ellen Ameden.
