Elmer H. Botz, 93, of Lorain, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2013. He was born on June 10, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio to Adolph and Anna Botz.
Elmer is survived by his wife of 62 years, Luella; his daughter and son-in-law, Deby and Andy Lasko of Amherst; grandchildren, Nicole Zadzilka, Scott Lasko, Andrew Lasko , and Matthew Lasko (Kasey); and great-grandson Tatum. His surviving siblings are Eileen Maraschky of Brookpark, Harold Botz of Strongsville, and Marjorie French of Seville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Raymond, Gertrude, Olga, Arthur, and Florence.
Elmer graduated from Hinckley High School and lived most of his adult life in Medina County. Elmer was self-employed for a time and retired from the trucking industry in 1981. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, great dad, special grandpa, a brother who loved his siblings and an uncle who cared deeply about his nieces and nephews.
Elmer's body was donated to the Case Western Reserve University Medical School. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
