At the age of two years she came to Illinois with her family. She resided in Scott county from then until her death.
On January 21, 1891 she was united in marriage with Frederick Boston. To this union were born three children: Goldie Vivian, who died in infancy; Harry, at home and Gladys, wife of Leonard Dolen of Winchester. Mr. Boston preceded her in death on April 11, 1938. Mrs. Boston is the last of a family of four children. Her father, mother, two brothers and one sister have all preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure, the son, daughter, and one granddaughter, Virginia Dolen. Also a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
Several years ago, Mrs. Boston united with the Methodist church of Winchester. Her death came as a shock to the community, as she died suddenly on Sunday evening.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church, Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. D. C. Ellinwood officiating.
Selections were sung by Mrs. S. G. Smith, accompanied by Mrs. Otie Scott.
The flowers were cared for by Misses Thelma Boston, and Frances Crabtree, Mrs. Dora Curtis, Mrs. John Springer, Mrs. Wm. Bohnemeyer and Mrs. Ida Spencer.
Interment was in the Winchester cemetery, the casket bearers being Harry Montgomery, W. G. Watt, John Springer, Joe Crabtree, W. L. Bagshaw and Ralph Mitchell.
