Graveside funeral services for Harold C. Bosley, 74, of Trinidad and a former resident of Lamar, were held Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Fairmont Cemetery in Lamar. The Rev. Ian Blacker officiated, and closing services were under the auspices of the Lamar Lodge No. 1319 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks where Harold was a Past Exaulted Ruler.

Mr. Bosley was born July 22, 1929, at Ashland, Kansas. He died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Mt. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad, Colo., after a lengthy battle with emphysema. He married Dolores J. Driskell on Sept. 7, 1948 and they spent 43 years together before she died in July of 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Josephine (Ross) Bosley; his brother, Walter F. Bosley; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Toni and Lloyd Franks.

"Boz" as he was affectionately known, Mr. Bosley is survived by four children: Gwenlyn Bosley of Trinidad, Shon Lugo of Ft. Collins, Mark (Mary) Bosley of Trinidad, and Dirk (Leah) Bosley of Penrose; special niece, Nicci (Brian) Lauritsen of Lamar; five grandchildren: Kenneth (Lisa) Lugo of Smithtown, NY; Andrew (Amy McGinnis) Lugo of Burlington, VT; Ty Bosley of Pueblo; Gayle Bosley of Penrose; and Ben Bosley of Penrose; sister-in-law, Sue Bosley of Lamar; nieces, Mikki (Kenny) Cartwright of Lamar and Monette (John) Straily of Napa, CA; nephew Mike Bosley of Pueblo, and many extended family members and friends.
