Mr. Carl D. Boshers, age 74, a resident of Longstreet in Columbia, passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Boshers will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Terry Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Ernest Lee and Mary Finerty Boshers and the husband of Katheryn "Katie" Boshers. Mr. Boshers was the former owner of Ace T.V. in Columbia and a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid golfer, with 7 holes in one; enjoyed bowling, having a perfect 300 game and won the Doubles State Championship with his brother, Sammy; a former skating instructor in Virginia and of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cheri Smith of Columbia; a son, Carl D. Boshers, Jr. of Columbia; three very loving grandchildren, Crystal, Haley and Ryan Smith, all of Columbia; two brothers, Sammy (Shirley) Boshers and Horace (Faye) Boshers, both of Mt. Pleasant; four sisters, Mildred Burgett of Mobile, AL, Dorothy (Sam) Thomas of St. Charles, MO, Gracie (Euell) Stutts and Betty (Lee) Sims, both of Florence, AL; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Boshers of Knoxville, TN and Flo Boshers of Decatur, AL. He was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Boshers and two brothers, Joe and Edward Boshers.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bell, Ernie Boshers, Jerry Fly, Eugene Boshers, David Boshers and Sammy Boshers, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Murphy, Mike Mashburn, Gill Mashburn, Sammy Naddy, Walter Edwards and the golfing buddies of Stoneybrook.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim, the First United Methodist Church in Columbia or to the Alzheimer's Association.
