Kenneth L. Bortner

Kenneth L. Bortner, 71, of 3146 Hanover Pike, Hanover, died Friday morning, Sept. 2, at Hanover General Hospital.

Born in Carroll County, Md., he was a son of the late Austin and Elizabeth Tressler Bortner. He was the husband of Regina "Jean" Smith Bowman Bortner.

His first wife, Mary Ellen Bloom Bortner, died in 1974.

Bortner was a supervisor at Keystone Milling Company in Littlestown and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Littlestown. He was a member of the Lions Club of Littlestown for over 30 years, the Central Penn Scottish Club, Harrisburg Consistory and Patmos Lodge 348 F & AM.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, Austin Bortner of Westminster, Md.; one sister, Kathryn Bortner of Hanover Hall Nursing Home; one niece; and one nephew.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Little's Funeral Home in Littlestown with the Rev. Larry G. Douthwaite and the Rev. W. C. Karris officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
