Angelo Bordonaro, 105, of 134 Terrace Way, Camillus, died Monday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Canicatti, Sicily, Mr. Bordonaro lived many years in Syracuse before moving to Camillus several years ago. He retired in 1958 as a laborer after 43 years with Allied Chemical Corp. Mr. Bordonaro began his career with Semet Solvay Division at Split Rock.
Mr. Bordonaro was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Camillus. He was a member of the 40-Year Club of Allied Chemical Corp. He was recognized by the New York State Legislature on his 100th birthday.
Surviving are a son, Charles of Swarthmore, Pa.; four daughters, Lee Maroney of Ormond Beach, Fla., Josephine Bordonaro and Carolyn Chini, both of Camillus, and Theresa Bordonaro of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at John C. Tindall Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 1921 W. Genesee St.
