JACOB BORDNER
Jacob Bordner, well known resident and merchant of Carsonville. died at his home there last Saturday morning, at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 25 days. Although in ill health for some time, he had been seriously ill only five days.
Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Bordner and was a native of Jefferson Township, of which community he was a lifelong resident. He had been a member of the St. James Reformed Church about sixty years, and had engaged in the store business at Carsonville the past twenty-five years. His wife, formerly Miss Sara Matter, passed away about a year ago.
Survivors are four sons and three daughters, John Bordner, Lykens; Charles Bordner, Anna, Mrs. Bright Hackenburg; Sadie, Mrs. Raymond Snyder, all of Carsonville; Curtin Bordner, Elizabethville; Harvey Bordner, Paxtang and Charlotte, Mrs. Ralph Enders of Harrisburg.
Funeral services were held from the r e s i d e n c e at 1 :30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with further services in the St. James Reformed Church and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. H. C. Mathias, pastor of the Halifax United Brethren Charge, officiated
