PORTSMOUTH - Deaconess Betty J. Borders, 69, of the 1400 block of Roosevelt Blvd., died Nov. 13, 2005, at her home. Born in Zebulon, N.C., she was retired after 25 years from Globe Iron & Construction. She was a member and deaconess of Angelical Christian Worship Center, Suffolk.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in First Pentecostal Church of Christ Holiness, 2417 Oak St., Portsmouth, by Pastor Melvin A. Boone. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth chapel, will begin at noon today. The body will be taken to the church at noon Friday.
