GLADEWATER -- Services for Arrie Borden Sr., 70, of Gladewater, will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terrill Pearson and the Rev. Junior House officiating. Burial will be in the New White Oak Cemetery. Mr. Borden was born January 30, 1935, and he died Friday, April 29, 2005. He was a welder for Trinity Industries, and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Gladewater. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Borden of Gladewater; three sons and daughter-in-law, Arrie Borden Jr. of Union Grove, Kem and Cindy Borden of Union Grove, and Gene Borden of Charlottesville, W.Va.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Paulette and Walter Sanders of Gladewater, Joy and Doug Verner of Gladewater, and Teresa DeVaney of Decatur, Ala.; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Faye Franks of Decatur, Ala., and Clezell Wilhoit of Decatur, Ala.; and two brothers, Phillip Borden of Decatur, Ala. and Earskin Borden of Decatur, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bluit Benjamin and Cordell Borden; brother, William Borden; and two sisters, Ruby and Mary Sue. Pallbearers will be Josh Verner, Kyle Verner, Justin Borden, Matthew Borden, Shawn DeVaney, Jimmy Borden, and Peter Borden.
