Mildred L Bordelon passed away on Dec 10, 2011, following a brief illness. She was born on Aug 4, 1923, to Heman and Ida Lacombe of Alexandria, LA. Mrs Bordelon was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband of fifty nine years, Mr Eldred John Bordelon, Jr. She is survived by her son, Gregg Bordelon of Meridian, MS, son, Thomas Bordelon and wife, Stacey of Shreveport; grandchildren, Catherine Bordelon of Meridian, and Mason, Alex, and Annabeth Garcia of Shreveport; brother, Robert Lacombe and wife, Carolyn of Gonzales, LA; and daughter-in-law, Julie Bordelon of Meridian, MS. Mrs Bordelon was a native of Alexandria, LA and a resident of Shreveport for 44 years. She was a devoted member of St Joseph Catholic church where she served in a variety of roles. Mrs Bordelon taught at St Joseph Catholic Church School for nineteen years. As a teacher, she influenced the lives of countless children. She was loved and appreciated by all of her students. You couldn't go anywhere with her without running into a former student proclaiming, "Remember me?" She always did. Upon retiring from the classroom, she continued her service to the school while working in the office for an additional fourteen years. Honoring Mrs Bordelon as pallbearers will be grandsons, Mason and Alex Garcia, Darrel Ne Jame, Dut, Mike, and Johnny LeBlanc.
