Mrs. Helen Booth Pearson, 69, died Saturday evening (March 31, 2007) at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, (Duval Co) FL after an extended illness.
She is a native of Waycross, but she resided in Daytona Beach, (Volusia Co) FL from 1969 to 2004. In July 2004, she moved back to Waycross and became a member of Kettle Creek Southern Congregational Methodist Church. She was formerly employed as Director of Student Records at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach for 15 years.
She is the daughter of the late Andrew Clyde Booth. She is also preceded in death by her son, Robert Harrell Pearson, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Harrell Pearson of Waycross; a son, David Alan Pearson (wife Lucy) of Daytona Beach, FL; a granddaughter, Bethany Michelle Pearson; her mother, Nancy Odessa Strickland Booth of Waycross; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Waycross.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday (April 3, 2007) at Kettle Creek Southern Congregational Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday (April 4, 2007) at Greenwood Cemetery in Daytona Beach, FL. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Music Funeral Home.
