Joseph D. Boose

Joseph D. Boose, 57, of York, died of natural causes, Monday February 23, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Donna S. (Taylor) Boose with whom he celebrated 28 years of marriage on May 17, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Glenview Alliance Church, 10037 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock with Pastor Tim Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock and from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Friday at the church.
Joseph was born on July 17, 1957 in York, a son of Lois J. (Harvey) Stoner of York and the late C. David Boose.
He was a 1975 graduate of Dallastown Area High School and received an associate degree in drafting from York Technical Institute. He also graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in June 2014, where he received a degree in photography. He was a self employed photographer and restorer of old photographs. He also had worked for David E. Hoffman Survey in Shiloh for 20 years.
He was a member of Glenview Alliance Church and was a past president of the former Shrewsbury Lions Club. He also was the editor of the Hametown One Room School newsletter and was a member of the National Technical Honor Society.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a daughter Marie R. Druck of Windsor, a son Jason P. Taylor of York, three grandchildren and two brothers Robert E. Deardorff of Taneytown, MD, and Dean J. Deardorff of York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA 17327 to help defray funeral expenses.
