Hold Funeral for Mrs. Bishop
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in St. Francis Xavier Church with Rev. Fr. H.J. Foran officiated for Mrs. Elizabeth Bishop, 71, who passed away Saturday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Robert Banfield in Chicago following a stroke of paralysis last Thursday.
She was born and brought up in this vicinity and had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hawk for seventeen years. The body was brought here on No. 10 Sunday evening and upon the requst of Mrs. Hawk was taken to their home until the funeral services were held Tuesday morning. She had been visiting her daughter Mrs. Banfield and sister Mrs. Kate Arnold in Chicago, Ill. for several months.
Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Ed Byrnes of Tuscon, Ariz., and Mrs. Robert Banfield, Chicago, Ill.; and one son William Fries of Willard; three grandchildren, Paul Fries, student of Granville college, Westerville; and Delores and Joseph Fries of Cincinnati; one sister, Mrs. Kate Arnold, Chicago; and two brothers, Sebastian and Joe Boose of Norwalk. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery.
A telegram was received by relatives here Tuesday morning of the death of Mrs. Bishop's son-in-law, Ed Byrnes of Tuscon, Ariz., who died in Chicago while on his way here from Tuscon to attend her funeral.
