Born in Wicks, Arkansas, the son of Mark and Eva (Baldwin) Boone. At the age of six moved to Oklahoma with his parents settling in Seminole where he lived until joining the U.S. Army where he served during World War II. After being discharged from the service he moved to Tulsa where he worked for Oil and Gas Journal Publishing Company as a Printer where he worked for 27 years. After retiring from the Oil and Gas Journal Publishing Company he went to work as a engineer for the Central High School in Tulsa. In 1975, he was united in marriage to Geneva Bohannon in Miami, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Olivet Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife; three sons; one daughter, and husband; one sister; one brother and wife; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and ex daughter-in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, four brothers and a daughter-in-law, Sue Bohannon.

Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Palmer officiating. Interment in the Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs under the direction of the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
