Mrs. Maggie Boone, widow of Cornelius Boone, and who has been living with her sister, Mrs. Nellie Lowry, at 1026 East Eldorado street, died at 9:25 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary's hospital, where she had been confined for the last eleven weeks. She was seventy-one years old. About a year ago, she suffered a stroke of paralysis, a second stroke came eleven weeks ago and that was the cause of her death.
Mrs. Boone's maiden name was Godfrey. She was born in Decatur, June 30, 1855 and had lived here all her life. Her husband died Jan 15, 1922. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. She is survived by three children: Mrs. Nellie Hodges and Walter Boone of St. Louis and Mrs. David Holle of Coffeyville, Jan. Her sisters and brothers are Mrs. Nellie Lowry, Mrs. Alice Rogers, Thomas Godfrey and Michael Godfrey, all of Decatur.
The body was removed to the J.J. Moran & Sons undertaking establishment and prepared for burial.
