Before her marriage, she was a teacher in the Junior High school and was graduated from Decatur High school and from Millikin, also studying voice in the Conservatory. Her work as an elocutionist and singer brought her before the public frequently and she had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances here. She was married in Nov. 1916 to Dr. Howard Boone of Chandlerville.
She leaves besides her husband, a step son, Brooks Boone and her grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Tolly, formerly of Decatur who has made her home in the Boone home since Mrs. Boone's marriage. Mrs. Boone's parents, Mr. & Mrs. I.H. Potter, 1618 North Water street and a sister, Veree, at home.
Arrangements were made to bring the body here for burial.
